Hi, Emma here! Having enjoyed 5 years as a professional dancer and then 2 years as a dance teacher in secondary schools, I made the move to the primary education sector. My most recent 10 years have been in the most rewarding role as a teaching and learning assistant where I have had the pleasure of working with every year group whilst also choreographing productions from nativities to Year 6 leavers shows each year. I have a passion for dance and I strongly believe in the power that movement, singing and dancing can have on a child’s development.

I have a beautiful little girl, who is 2 years old, named Florence. Florence is a lockdown baby - we didn’t do anything or go anywhere for her first year. In January 2021, we signed up for Popcat's Zoom classes which we did every week.

Finally, May 2021 arrived and we were able to attend classes in person. My shy - wouldn’t leave my side - baby did her first class.

Within weeks her confidence grew and so did mine with outings as a new mum. As a parent, I love Popcat’s for the joy that it brings and as an educator, I see how well the sessions align with and promote a child’s development. I can’t wait to become a Popcats leader and bring this amazing class to Warrington.

Popcat’s is just me - watching children grow and develop while singing, dancing and having fun... I can’t wait!
